In October 2025, Wonder Studios, a British company that integrates AI into storytelling, has completed a $12 million funding round. The investment will be used to double the company's engineering team and build out its intellectual property, including an upcoming documentary with Campfire Studios.
Founded in April 2025 by Xavier Collins and Justin Hackney, Wonder Studios has seen significant demand for its services in the past six months. The company has produced an AI-powered music video for Lewis Capaldi's "Something in the Heavens," created in collaboration with Google DeepMind, YouTube, and Universal Music Group.
Additionally, Wonder Studios' YouTube anthology series "Beyond the Loop," set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has fallen under the dominion of advanced androids, has been renewed for a second season and has amassed 1.5 million views. The company also operates an app that serves as a hub for connecting AI creators with career opportunities, collaborators, and resources.
"At the heart of our vision is combining Hollywood filmmaking excellence with AI-powered creative freedom, empowering both established directors and emerging creators to tell their most ambitious stories," said Collins. Hackney, the company's chief creative officer, added, "The next decade will define what creativity looks like in the age of AI. Our mission is to ensure that this future belongs to the storytellers."
