Ahlstrom has expanded its Grease-Gard range with two new products, Grease-Gard PLUS and Grease-Gard PRO, targeting the North American quick service and food service sectors. These additions enhance the company's selection of grease-resistant papers.
Grease-Gard PLUS offers superior grease resistance alongside increased water penetration resistance. This grade is designed for recyclability and can replace wax-treated papers in food service applications where moisture is a concern, suitable for wraps and bags.
Grease-Gard PRO is engineered for demanding food service applications requiring high grease resistance and heat retention. It aims to be a paper-based alternative to aluminum foil, preserving food quality and freshness while reducing aluminum usage.
Travis Dahlke, Ahlstrom's vice president of global food packaging, stated that the new products simplify the packaging selection process for customers, supporting their performance and sustainability goals. This follows Ahlstrom's recent introduction of MaxLiner, a release paper for adhesive labels manufactured in Brazil.
