Adani Power has secured a substantial Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the supply of 1,600 MW of thermal power. This significant order pertains to one of Adani Power's upcoming ultra-supercritical thermal power projects.
The comprehensive 25-year Power Supply Agreement (PSA) is scheduled to begin in the financial year 2030-31. The initial tariff quoted for the first year is Rs. 5.30/kWh, as detailed in a regulatory filing on March 15.
This development strengthens Adani Power's long-term contract portfolio, bringing its secured capacity under PSAs to 13.3 GW out of a 23.8 GW pipeline. Over 95% of its current operating capacity is already secured, and more than 55% of its future capacity is committed under 25-year PSAs.
Adani Power is executing India's largest private sector thermal power capital expenditure program, aiming to increase its capacity from the current 18.15 GW to 41.87 GW by FY31-32 with an investment of approximately ₹2 lakh crore.
