28 Oct
Summary
- Net profit declined 55% to ₹1,492 crore in Q2 FY27.
- EBITDA surged 62% to ₹6,316 crore due to strong operating performance.
- Mundra copper smelter was a primary driver of improved segment profit.

Adani Enterprises Ltd. announced a 55% decrease in its net profit for the September quarter of FY27, reporting ₹1,492 crore compared to ₹3,304 crore in the same period last year. This decline was largely due to an exceptional gain booked in the prior year.
However, the company demonstrated robust operating performance. Total income saw a significant rise of 74% to ₹38,023 crore. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) escalated by 62% to ₹6,316 crore. Pre-tax profit, excluding exceptional items, more than doubled, increasing by 146% to ₹2,002 crore.
The Mundra copper smelter emerged as a key growth driver, contributing ₹1,038 crore in segment pre-tax profit, a substantial turnaround from a loss of ₹278 crore in the previous year. Sales volume for copper also surged.
Other segments showed varied performance. Airports experienced a 55% EBITDA rise but posted a pre-tax loss due to increased depreciation. Adani New Industries, the solar and wind manufacturing arm, saw a slight decrease in EBITDA despite increased module sales and expanded capacity.
Chairman Gautam Adani expressed confidence in the company's positioning to capitalize on future opportunities and India's growth, crediting investors for their support amidst market volatility. He emphasized the company's effectiveness in executing large-scale commitments across its diverse business portfolio.
