Summary
- Ready-meal factory in South Wales proposes cutting 80 jobs.
- Company cites restructuring to drive efficiencies after investment.
- This follows a factory closure in Wales last year.

2 Sisters Food Group is initiating a restructuring at its ready-meals factory in Rogerstone, Newport, South Wales, which may result in approximately 80 job losses. This facility, part of the RF Brookes business, manufactures own-label chilled ready meals for major UK supermarkets.
A spokesperson confirmed that following an investment of around £20m, the company is proposing a minor restructure to enhance efficiencies. These proposals are expected to affect about 5% of the workforce at the Rogerstone site, which employs 1,600 staff.
This development follows a challenging period for the company in Wales, as it previously closed its poultry factory in Llangefni, Anglesey, in 2023. The company has not commented on specific reports regarding the Rogerstone site's financial standing.
