6 May
Summary
- 14.2 kg LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged at Rs 913.
- Commercial 19-kg LPG cylinder prices increased on April 1.
- India imports 90% of LPG from West Asian countries.

As geopolitical tensions escalate in West Asia, India is closely monitoring its Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supplies. The price for a standard 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has remained steady at Rs 913. However, consumers will now face higher costs for commercial 19-kg LPG cylinders.
This increase for commercial cylinders took effect on April 1, driven by a significant 44 percent rise in the Saudi Contract Price. India's dependence on West Asian countries for energy needs is substantial, with the nation importing 90 percent of its LPG from the region, including major suppliers like Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
