- Development expected to be completed by autumn next year.
- Project received funding from Homes England and Towns Fund.

The former Zanzibar nightclub in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, is undergoing a significant transformation into a development featuring 62 affordable homes. Capital & Centric, in partnership with social landlord Aspire Housing, is spearheading this project, with completion anticipated in autumn 2027.
This prominent gateway site, located at the junction of Marsh Parade and Hassell Street, has long awaited revitalization. The scheme is supported by funding from Homes England and the Towns Fund.
In addition to the new homes, the development will enhance pedestrian access, provide parking, and create new public spaces. This initiative aims to address local housing demand and breathe new life into a well-known brownfield location.
This project is part of wider regeneration efforts by the developer in Newcastle-under-Lyme, which also include new neighborhoods in Ryecroft and redevelopments of former car park and shopping centre sites.
