FanDuel CEO Out as Flutter Eyes US Market Turnaround
7 May
Summary
- FanDuel CEO Amy Howe has departed the company as of Wednesday.
- Dan Taylor, a Flutter veteran, will now lead the U.S. business.
- Flutter previously forecast slower profit growth due to U.S. market challenges.

Flutter, a major online betting company, has implemented substantial leadership changes at its U.S. subsidiary, FanDuel. Effective Wednesday, FanDuel CEO Amy Howe has departed the company. Taking the helm of the U.S. business in a newly created, expanded position is Flutter veteran Dan Taylor.
These management adjustments follow closely behind Flutter's recent forecast revision. In February, the company surprised analysts by projecting a 4% core profit growth for 2026, a significant decrease from the over 20% growth seen in the preceding four years. The company attributed this revised outlook to prevailing challenges within the U.S. market.
FanDuel currently commands a leading 39% share of the U.S. market. Flutter's CEO, Peter Jackson, acknowledged that FanDuel has not met expectations but emphasized the need for the right team to support the business moving forward. Jackson clarified that the decision for Howe to leave was not her own.
Concurrent with these changes, Flutter has also reduced its full-year forecast growth projection to just 1%. Despite these headwinds, the company's first-quarter profit results exceeded expectations.
