Target Unveils Exclusive Taylor Swift Album Variants Online

In the lead-up to the release of Taylor Swift's 12th studio album "The Life of a Showgirl," Target has unveiled exclusive variants of the album available for pre-order on their website. The retailer, which has a longstanding relationship with the pop superstar, is offering three compact disc editions with unique album art, fold-out posters, collectible cover and disc art, and never-before-seen photos and lyrics.

The three CD variants are titled "It's Frightening," "It's Rapturous," and "It's Beautiful," mirroring the subtitles and cover artwork that Swift previously used for three CDs only available in her own webstore, which quickly sold out. It remains unclear if the Target editions have any additional exclusive packaging elements beyond the loss of the trinkets advertised with the direct-to-consumer versions.

In addition to the CD variants, Target is also selling an exclusive Sweat and Vanilla Perfume CD and vinyl. Swift announced the release of "The Life of a Showgirl" on August 11, just hours after posting a mysterious countdown on her website, and shortly after revealing she would be appearing as a guest on NFL player Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast.
