Steve Martin Marks 80th Birthday Filming at Disneyland Magic Shop

Two days ago, on August 14th, legendary actor and comedian Steve Martin celebrated his 80th birthday by filming a scene at Disneyland's magic shop, the very same location where he worked as a 15-year-old. Martin shared this special moment during a recent Television Academy event, saying, "I'm standing on the exact same spot that I stood on when I was 15! And I said, 'it's like going to work when you're 15, and then coming home from work and you're 80.'"

While Martin didn't specify the details of his Disneyland filming, reports indicate he will appear in the upcoming Disney+ series "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit," which is being developed by Jon Favreau. The show's previously announced cast includes Kathryn Hahn, Amy Sedaris, and other notable actors.

In addition to his Disneyland project, Martin is also gearing up for the fifth season of his hit Hulu comedy "Only Murders in the Building." During the Television Academy event, the show's executive producer John Hoffman revealed that this season will feature a mafia twist as the trio of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel delve into the organized crime underworld to investigate a death. Hoffman promised that the new season will explore "what is the power game going on in New York that might be reflective of a little bit of what's going on in the country."
