Selena Gomez and Wizards of Waverly Place Co-Stars Reunite for Disney Sequel

In a heartwarming reunion, Selena Gomez, the former star of the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, has shared photos on Instagram of herself and her co-stars from the show. The photos, posted just last month, show Gomez and her on-screen best friend Emma Stone enjoying a meal together, with a large television in the background playing an episode of the original series.

Gomez captioned the photos, "Good times, good food, good people," hinting at the nostalgic and joyful nature of the reunion. The original Wizards of Waverly Place series, which aired from 2007 to 2012, was a breakout role for Gomez, who played the protagonist Alex Russo, a teenager with magical abilities. Stone, meanwhile, portrayed Alex's best friend, Harper Finkle, who discovers the family's magical secret.

Now, nearly a decade after the show's conclusion, Gomez and her co-star David Henrie, who played her older brother Justin Russo, have co-produced a sequel series titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The new show, which premiered on the Disney Channel earlier this year, features Henrie reprising his role as the adult Justin, along with new cast members. Gomez has also made a guest appearance in the series, much to the delight of fans.

At the show's premiere, Gomez expressed her excitement, saying, "It's the best feeling in the whole world to be able to bring this back for you and to all the people who have never seen it before." The original series, she has said, "gave me everything that I have today, and I'll never forget that this is where I started."
