The film, which marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has now become the second highest-grossing movie of the year, trailing only behind the blockbuster 'Chhaava' which has amassed a massive Rs 601 crore collection. 'Saiyaara' has also held firm on its second Friday, grossing over Rs 30 crore worldwide and achieving its first million-dollar day in overseas markets, a rare achievement for a film led by debutants.
By the close of Day 8, the film had amassed a remarkable Rs 282 crore in global grosses, including Rs 229 crore from India and Rs 53 crore from international markets. With these impressive numbers, 'Saiyaara' has officially surpassed Akshay Kumar's 'Housefull 5' to claim the spot of the second highest-grossing film of the year.
