Manish Malhotra, the renowned fashion designer, is poised to make his debut as a film producer with the upcoming romantic drama 'Gustaakh Ishq'. The movie, scheduled for a theatrical release this November, boasts a notable cast including Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Sharib Hashmi.
Malhotra has long harbored a deep love for cinema, which he cites as the inspiration behind this new venture. In an Instagram post, the designer expressed, "Since childhood, I've lived with a deep Ishq (love) for cinema. The magic of the stories, the glow of the big screen and the emotions that stay long after the credits roll." He further shared his excitement to unveil the first glimpse of 'Gustaakh Ishq' on August 25.
Earlier this year, there were reports that Malhotra could be directing a much-anticipated biopic of legendary actor Meena Kumari. However, he denied these rumors while speaking at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, hinting at directing "something else soon" and expressing his desire to helm romantic films in the future.
