Rekha, one of the most iconic and versatile actors in Indian cinema, is known for her remarkable acting prowess. However, a lesser-known talent of hers was recently brought to light by comedian Kapil Sharma during an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show in 2024.
Sharma recalled a personal moment when he witnessed Rekha's exceptional mimicry skills. He revealed that Rekha can effortlessly imitate voices and expressions, often perfectly replicating someone's mannerisms after just a few minutes of observation. "She can talk to you for five minutes, observe your voice and expressions, and then mimic you perfectly. She does it so well," Sharma said, describing Rekha's uncanny ability.
In the same episode, Rekha also shared an emotional memory connected to the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The actress revealed that on one of Lata ji's birthdays, she had openly expressed her admiration, wishing for a daughter like her in her next birth. To Rekha's surprise, the iconic singer replied, "Why next birth? I am your daughter in this birth." From that day onwards, Lata ji addressed Rekha as "Mamma," a cherished memory that the actress fondly recounted.
Rekha was last seen on the silver screen in the 2018 film 'MLA,' directed by Manju Maurya. She also made a special appearance in the superhit 2018 film 'Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se.' As of September 2025, the actress has yet to announce any new projects, leaving her fans eagerly awaiting her return to the big screen.
