While Netflix claims the sign characteristics are meant to be lighthearted, some viewers have found the descriptions to be less than flattering. For instance, Aquarius signs are described as "oddballs, quirky, outsiders" and are recommended content about aliens, sci-fi, and space.

Despite the mixed reactions, Netflix maintains that the new hub is designed to be a fun and engaging way for subscribers to explore content tailored to their astrological preferences. The streamer emphasizes that the recommendations are not based on any personal information, as it does not have access to users' birth dates or star signs.
