- Isha refused to comply, did not get the role

In July 2025, acclaimed actress Isha Talwar, known for her work in shows like Mirzapur and Article 15, has recounted a bizarre and uncomfortable audition experience from the early days of her career.
Talwar shared that back when she was starting out, she was once asked by casting director Shanoo Sharma to perform a crying scene at a busy restaurant called Mia Cucina in Versova, Mumbai, right in the middle of service, surrounded by diners and waitstaff. Talwar found this request "confusing/weird" and said it "shattered" her confidence as a young actress.
Talwar questioned why a senior casting director would put a newcomer through such a situation, stressing that auditions should take place in a proper casting office or hired location. She ultimately refused to comply with the "weird ask" and did not get the role, but stands by her decision to maintain her dignity.
Meanwhile, Shanoo Sharma is currently enjoying a career high at Yash Raj Films following the success of her latest discoveries, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, whose debut film Saiyaara has grossed over ₹500 crore worldwide.
