Summary
- Dunham wanted to create a "mini movie" with actors reenacting Vanderpump reunion
- Dunham pitched the idea to Bravo's Andy Cohen, but he didn't take her up on it
- Dunham envisioned Andrew Scott as Sandoval and Jennifer Lawrence as Madix

In a recent episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast, actress Lena Dunham disclosed that she had attempted to orchestrate a dramatic reenactment of the post-Scandoval Vanderpump Rules reunion. Dunham believed it would be an entertaining endeavor to have skilled actors perform the reunion's most memorable moments, such as the infamous "Go f--- yourself with a cheese grater" line.
Dunham went so far as to reach out to Bravo's Andy Cohen, the longtime producer of the network's reality shows, to pitch her idea. She envisioned the reenactment as a "mini movie" where the actors would treat the events as "canon" and deliver their lines with the same passion and virtuosity as Shakespearean performers.
While Cohen understood Dunham's creative vision, he ultimately did not move forward with the proposal. However, the Bravo executive did later bring together a star-studded cast, including Cheyenne Jackson, Chloe Fineman, and Amber Tamblyn, to do a Scandoval reading on his Sirius XM show, Radio Andy.
Dunham had her own casting ideas for the reenactment, picturing actor Andrew Scott as Tom Sandoval and Jennifer Lawrence as Ariana Madix. The Too Much creator expressed a desire to "take these words and direct them like it's really serious theater."
