Jurassic World Rebirth Nears Blockbuster Milestone, Challenges Bond Film

Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the beloved Jurassic Park franchise, has been captivating audiences worldwide since its release on July 2, 2025. Despite a modest 51% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has enjoyed a stellar run at the global box office, cementing its status as the fourth-highest-grossing film of the year.

In the past few weeks, Rebirth has overtaken several notable box office hits, including Thor: Love and Thunder, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Interstellar. With a global total of nearly $767 million, the film is now just about $8 million shy of surpassing the worldwide box office gross of Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond in No Time to Die, which was released in 2021.

Whether Jurassic World Rebirth can close the gap and surpass this milestone in the coming days remains to be seen. Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion and follows an extraction team sent to collect DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures to develop a life-saving drug.
