Hulu's 'Buffy' Reboot Assembles Stellar Cast for Pilot

Hulu's upcoming "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" revival pilot is taking shape, with the production adding five new series regulars to the cast. The new additions include Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel di Tomasso, and Jack Cutmore-Scott, who will join previously announced stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Kiera Armstrong.

The pilot, which was first reported to be in development back in February, will center around a new slayer played by Armstrong, with Gellar appearing in a recurring role as the beloved Buffy Summers. While exact plot details are being kept under wraps, the revival is expected to introduce a fresh take on the beloved supernatural series.

The pilot is being written, showrun, and executive produced by Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman, with acclaimed director Chloé Zhao attached to helm the episode. Gellar will also serve as an executive producer, alongside Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui, and Dolly Parton, all of whom were involved with the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" series.
