Uncork'd Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to the horror film "The Hermit," which features a chilling performance from Lou Ferrigno as a cannibalistic pig farmer. Ferrigno, best known for his iconic role as the Hulk in the CBS TV series, is making his return to playing a creature in this gory thriller.
The film, which has an undercurrent of quirky irony, follows two self-absorbed teens, played by Malina Weissman and Anthony Turpel, who venture off the trail while on a vacation in the woods. They stumble upon a farm, where they encounter the gruesome sight of animal heads hanging on the walls and are forced to fight for their lives against Ferrigno's unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.
Weissman, who will soon be seen in Disney's "Coven Academy," joins Ferrigno in the cast of "The Hermit," which is the first English-language feature directed and produced by Italian filmmaker Salvatore Sclafani. Sclafani, a Palermo native who has been living in Los Angeles, previously produced the 2019 pandemic thriller "Tyger Tiger" starring Dylan Sprouse.
