George Clooney Leads All-Star Cast in Emotional Drama 'Jay Kelly' Premiering at London Film Fest

On August 26, 2025, it was announced that the Netflix film 'Jay Kelly' will have its UK premiere and be given a gala screening at London's Royal Festival Hall on October 10. The film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Noah Baumbach, will first have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on August 28.

Starring George Clooney as a famous movie actor looking back on his life and career, 'Jay Kelly' boasts an all-star cast that also includes Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, and Emily Mortimer. Baumbach and members of the cast are expected to attend the UK premiere.

The film follows Clooney's character and his devoted manager, played by Sandler, as they embark on an unexpectedly profound journey through Europe. Along the way, both men are forced to confront the choices they've made, their relationships with loved ones, and the legacies they'll leave behind.

Baumbach expressed his excitement about the film's inclusion in the London Film Festival, stating that it feels like a "homecoming" for the production, as they filmed, edited, and recorded the score in London. London Film Festival director Kristy Matheson praised the director's return to the festival, noting his signature blend of "emotional honesty and comedy" in exploring themes of fame, friendship, and the enduring appeal of cinema.

'Jay Kelly' is set to be released in cinemas on November 14 and on Netflix on December 5.
