Fox Taps Veteran Writer Hilary Winston to Co-Showrun 'Going Dutch' Season 2
27 Aug
Summary
- Hilary Winston joins 'Going Dutch' as co-showrunner for Season 2
- Series creator Joel Church-Cooper remains as showrunner
- 'Going Dutch' is set to return in midseason 2025

In a move to bolster the creative team behind its single-camera comedy 'Going Dutch', Fox has brought on veteran writer-producer Hilary Winston as co-showrunner for the series' upcoming second season. Winston will work alongside the show's creator and Season 1 showrunner, Joel Church-Cooper, to oversee the production.
'Going Dutch' centers on the arrogant U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, played by Denis Leary, who is reassigned to a base in the Netherlands as punishment for an unfiltered rant. Surrounded by a diverse group of military misfits, the colonel tries to reinstate discipline with the help of his estranged daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn, portrayed by Taylor Misiak.
The series, which is wholly owned by Fox, is set to return in midseason 2025 after its 10-episode first season saw a decline in viewership. With the addition of the experienced Winston, who has credits on shows like 'Community' and 'Happy Endings', Fox is clearly aiming to build on the series' momentum and attract a larger audience for its second outing.
