In July 2025, Mohit Suri's romantic drama 'Saiyaara' has been captivating audiences with its soulful music, compelling storyline, and the chemistry between debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. However, the director recently revealed that one of the film's most emotional scenes was fueled by a real-life instance of Ahaan breaking down on set.
During an interview, Suri recalled the incident, explaining that he had to step in and tell Ahaan to control his tears. The young actor was so moved by the intensity of the scene that he couldn't hold back his emotions. "Mujhe sometimes bolna pada isko, 'Mat ro yaar itna tu yeh scene mein.' He said, 'Mujhko bohot bura lag raha hai, sir. She's saying this, and I'm feeling very bad.' I said, 'Tu acting nahi kar raha?'" the filmmaker shared.
Suri went on to explain that the depth of love portrayed in 'Saiyaara' contrasts with the casual dating culture common among the younger generation. "Maybe they've not met someone who opened up their heart and made those promises jo commitment life bhar ki hoti hai... no matter what, I'm not going to leave you, I'm going to stand by you. I think these were just things that were moving them," he said.
Directed by Mohit Suri, 'Saiyaara' follows the love story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a dreamer aspiring to be a singing sensation, and Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda), an aspiring journalist. The film, which has already crossed the Rs 500 crore mark globally, has been praised for its emotional depth and fresh pairing.
