Charli xcx and Kate Hudson's Supernatural Getaway: A Horror Comedy Twist

In September 2025, young British couple Bethany and her boyfriend Rob travel to Warsaw, Poland for a romantic getaway. Rob has planned a trip filled with classy meals, massages, and a surprise marriage proposal, hoping to take their relationship to the next level. However, Bethany's mind is elsewhere, as she uses the trip as an opportunity to reconnect with her florist friend Nel.

Bethany and Nel first met on a class trip when they were teenagers, and their immediate bond was so strong that it coincided with a volcanic eruption. Since then, whenever the two reunite, they abandon their responsibilities and romantic partners to indulge in partying and mischief, taking credit for the chaos as a sign of their powerful connection.

Restless in her relationship, Bethany quickly leaves Rob to spend time with Nel, much to Rob's frustration. He struggles to get Bethany to open up and see him as a steady partner she can rely on, as her wild spirit keeps him at a distance. Similarly, Nel is also resistant to the responsibilities of a committed relationship with her own love interest, Ula.

Despite the dramatic implications of the film's title, "Erupcja" maintains a casual, slice-of-life vibe, with a collaborative script that allows the talented ensemble cast to play off each other organically.
