Carrie Bradshaw's Explosive Encounter with Ex-Boyfriend Berger Revealed
23 Aug
Summary
- Carrie Bradshaw almost ran into ex-boyfriend Berger years later
- Carrie got arrested for smoking pot on the street after their breakup
- Actors from original SATC series appear in new roles in And Just Like That

According to a recent interview, the writers of the Sex and the City revival series And Just Like That considered having Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) run into her ex-boyfriend Berger (Ron Livingston) years after their breakup. Berger, who famously broke up with Carrie on a Post-It note, was one of the characters the writers contemplated bringing back.
In the aftermath of their split, Carrie had recruited her friends Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha for a night out, during which she was arrested for smoking pot on the street. However, it remains unclear if Carrie still holds a grudge against her insecure ex-boyfriend.
Beyond revisiting notable SATC characters, the new series has also featured actors who previously appeared in small roles on the original show, but now have entirely new parts. For instance, Rosemarie Dewitt, who played a colleague of Miranda's, is now portraying Aidan's ex-wife Kathy. The writers have incorporated these "Easter eggs" for dedicated fans, while also casting actors in new roles that may not be immediately recognizable.
The And Just Like That team has aimed to strike a balance between acknowledging the show's devoted fanbase and creating a fresh, standalone narrative. As the writer Julie Rottenberg noted, "If we know nothing else, it's the people pay very close attention."
