Big Thief, the acclaimed indie rock band, has unveiled two more tracks from their upcoming album 'Double Infinity', set for release on September 5, 2025. The new songs, "Los Angeles" and "Grandmother", delve into the complexities of relationships, from the lovers-to-friends path to the realities of generational love and pain.
"Grandmother", which features a collaboration with renowned musician Laraaji, is particularly noteworthy as it was the first song the band wrote as a trio, following the departure of bassist Max Oleartchik. The album, recorded last winter in New York, brings together the three core members of Big Thief alongside a wide range of collaborators, including Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, and others.
In the coming months, Big Thief will embark on a North American tour in support of 'Double Infinity', with performances scheduled from September 17 to November 7, 2025. The album serves as the follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed 2022 release, 'Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You'.
