Aditya Roy Kapur Embraces Ensemble Cast for Romantic Drama 'Metro... In Dino'

Aditya Roy Kapur is currently promoting his upcoming film "Metro... In Dino," a romantic drama directed by Anurag Basu. Despite not being particularly fond of film promotions, Kapur is thoroughly enjoying the process of bonding with his co-stars as they come together for the project.

The actor acknowledges that playing the classic romantic lead is more challenging than it appears. "You have to tap into your own charm, keep it relevant, and still make it feel authentic," he explains. Kapur has developed a strong creative rapport with director Anurag Basu, who encourages his actors to take risks and never judges if something doesn't quite work. Basu also thrives on spontaneity, often rewriting lines or adjusting scenes on the fly.

Reflecting on his journey, Kapur says he began his career with supporting roles and is content with the path he has taken. He is not one to turn down a good opportunity, even if it means sharing the spotlight in an ensemble cast. "For me, it's about not turning down a good opportunity," he states. "When Dada spoke to me about this new story, it sounded exciting. I wasn't going to reject it over something as arbitrary as screen space or some strategic move."
