Indira Krishnan, the actress who will be portraying the role of Kaushalya in Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming 'Ramayan', has recently shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes story from the sets of the 2003 film 'Tere Naam'. In a recent interview, Indira recounted how Salman Khan, along with his bodyguard, played a prank on her that left her in tears, genuinely worried that her career might be over.
Indira, who played the elder sister of Bhumika Chawla's character in 'Tere Naam', revealed that before a scene where she had to slap Salman, the actor jokingly warned her, saying that anything could happen if she went through with it. True to his word, Salman's bodyguard then pretended to be serious, telling Indira that the press had arrived and that she would be banned from the industry for slapping Salman.
Despite having a slight suspicion that it might be a prank, Indira was convinced by their convincing act. She even saw media people outside, though it was a common occurrence on film sets back then. The prank went on for nearly an hour, with Salman, Sanjay Dutt, and Suniel Shetty – known as the ultimate pranksters of that time – engaging in the elaborate ruse. Indira was left in tears, genuinely concerned about the consequences of her actions.

Ultimately, the actors revealed that it was all a harmless prank, but the experience left a lasting impression on Indira. She fondly remembers 'Tere Naam' as a "beautiful movie" and praised the late director Satish Kaushik for his remarkable work as both an actor and a director.
