Acclaimed Tamil Director Prem Kumar Unveils Exciting New Projects

In September 2025, acclaimed Tamil director C. Prem Kumar has unveiled his upcoming plans, which include a collaboration with actor Fahadh Faasil and the development of unique film concepts.

Prem Kumar, who garnered critical acclaim for his directorial debut '96' and his subsequent release 'Meiyazhagan', is now set to join hands with Fahadh Faasil for his third film. The director shared the details of this new project in a recent interview with TV host Gopinath.

Additionally, Prem Kumar revealed that he is exploring new storytelling approaches, including a love story where the heroine never appears on screen and a survival-adventure drama featuring nine characters. The director explained that his preference for solitude has influenced his writing style, but he is now expanding his horizons.

Meanwhile, Prem Kumar's previously announced film 'Chiyaan 64' with actor Vikram has been temporarily postponed. The director stated that he is still working on the script for this project and plans to start it only after completing the film with Fahadh Faasil. Prem Kumar had initially planned to begin a new film within a year of 'Meiyazhagan', but the deadline has now been moved to January 2026.

The director emphasized his commitment to maintaining a consistent flow of projects, ensuring there are no significant gaps in his filmography going forward.
