Afroz recalled receiving an urgent audition request for the Neeraj Pandey series while on an extended visit to her mother's hometown in Assam, a location over 3,000 km away from her usual environment. The call came just two days into her month-long trip, prompting an immediate need to travel back and audition.
Despite the surprise and the significant distance, Afroz managed to audition and get approved within a short period. She highlighted the intense transition, noting a mere three-day window between her audition and being on set. Afroz emphasized that she simultaneously prepared for and shot her role, portraying a complex character with a seven-episode arc.
