Zoe Ball Returns to Radio: New Afternoon Show!

Zoe Ball is set to return to weekday radio, taking on a new afternoon slot at Greatest Hits Radio. The 55-year-old broadcaster will host 'Zoe Ball In The Afternoon' every weekday from 1 PM to 4 PM, commencing Monday, September 7. This engagement represents her first weekday radio program since concluding her tenure on the Radio 2 Breakfast show in 2024.

Ball's new radio role emerges weeks after she publicly discussed feelings of 'grief and rejection' upon learning she would not be hosting the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. Having previously helmed the show's spin-off, 'It Takes Two', speculation had mounted that she might step in for departing hosts. However, the new hosting trio was confirmed in May to be Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe.

Expressing her excitement, Ball stated that radio offers a unique connection with listeners, sharing moments of joy and laughter. She feels this is the right time for a new chapter, drawn to Greatest Hits Radio's blend of epic music and listener engagement. Alongside her daily show, she will continue co-hosting the 'Dig It' podcast with Jo Whiley.
