Zendaya's Next Sci-Fi Epic: A New Galactic Adventure

Zendaya is embarking on a new science fiction venture, teaming up with director Alex Garland for an upcoming, as-yet-untitled film produced by A24. Principal photography for this new project is scheduled to begin next year. As of October 15, 2026, concrete details regarding the film's narrative, additional cast members, and its anticipated release date have not been publicly disclosed.

This exciting announcement arrives approximately two months before the theatrical debut of "Dune: Part Three" on December 18. This final installment will conclude the science fiction saga, with Zendaya reprising her role as Chani. The story picks up 17 years after "Dune: Part Two," which saw Paul Atreides ascend to emperor.

The new film represents Zendaya's third collaboration with A24, following her acclaimed performances in "Euphoria" and "The Drama." Her busy year has also included roles in "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." Alex Garland, known for his work on "Civil War" and "Men," is also developing "Elden Ring" with A24, slated for a March 3, 2028 release.
