Zeke Lewis has been appointed as the new chairman and CEO of Epic Records, effective March 30, 2026. Lewis, who has been with the label since 2018, previously served as its president and as executive vice president/head of A&R. He takes over from Sylvia Rhone, who stepped down last September after an 11-year tenure.
During his time at Epic, Lewis played a key role in guiding the careers of artists such as Tyla, Travis Scott, and Future. Prior to Epic, he held a senior A&R role at Motown Records, contributing to projects with artists like Migos and Lil Baby. Lewis also founded the music publisher The Bar Group.
Lewis expressed his commitment to making Epic Records the best home for artists, emphasizing a focus on their vision and stories. He stated that his goal is to cut through the digital noise and provide creators with a supportive environment to thrive. This appointment follows a period where Lewis co-ran Epic Records with general manager Rick Sackheim.
