Summary
- Zayn's daughter approves his music with a thumbs-up system.
- Khai's love for K-pop inspired Zayn's collaboration with Jisoo.
- Zayn's fifth solo album, Konnakol, releases on April 17.
Zayn shared in a recent interview that his five-year-old daughter, Khai, plays a significant role in his music career, acting as his ultimate judge. He explained that Khai uses a unique thumbs-up, thumbs-down, or sideways system to rate his songs.
Khai's particular fondness for K-pop, including groups like TWICE and BLACKPINK, was a major driver behind his decision to collaborate with BLACKPINK member Jisoo. This feature, on the Billboard Hot 100 hit 'Eyes Closed,' was largely motivated by Zayn's desire to be seen as 'cool' by his daughter.
He succeeded in this endeavor, earning "good dad points" for the collaboration. Zayn is always mindful of his daughter when creating new music. His fifth solo studio album, Konnakol, is scheduled for release on April 17. Following this, he will commence the Konnakol Tour, marking his debut headlining arena and stadium tour as a solo artist.
