Zachary Levi Builds $100M Texas Film Campus

Actor Zachary Levi has embarked on a significant project, Wyldwood Studios, a $100 million film and lifestyle campus located on his 75-acre property outside Austin, Texas. This endeavor marks a new chapter, nearly nine years after Levi relocated from Los Angeles in 2017. He has long envisioned a reformed entertainment industry, seeking to establish a more artist-centric model.

Wyldwood Studios is designed as a hybrid production hub and creative retreat. The phased development will feature soundstages, production offices, residential spaces, and wellness facilities. Levi's vision extends beyond a traditional studio, aiming to cultivate a community where artists can thrive, potentially including educational opportunities for children and an organic farm.

The first two soundstages at Wyldwood Studios are anticipated to open in 2027. Levi's decision to leave California was driven by a belief that the industry could operate differently. He aims to create a self-owned and operated studio environment, cutting out intermediaries and ensuring better outcomes for artists involved.

Levi recently discussed his new film, "The Fix," where he portrays a former CIA operative. He described the role as a departure from his previous work, offering a darker, grittier experience. The film explores themes of redemption and moral ambiguity, co-starring Liam Neeson.
