More than two decades after its initial release, the celebrated 2004 political action drama Yuva is returning to the big screen. The film is scheduled for a re-release on February 20, 2026, at PVR INOX cinemas.
Actor Esha Deol, who starred in the film, shared her excitement, describing Yuva as "extremely close to my heart." She reminisced about her experience working with director Mani Ratnam and co-stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vivek Oberoi.
Yuva intricately wove together the lives of three young men in Kolkata, set against a backdrop of student politics and ambition. The film was notably shot in parallel as Aayutha Ezhuthu in Tamil, featuring a different lead cast.
The movie has since achieved cult status, largely due to its innovative narrative, A.R. Rahman's iconic music, and Abhishek Bachchan's critically acclaimed performance as Lallan Singh. The film's rights are currently held by Red Chillies Entertainment.
