Summary
- Yash Raj Films invests in Rusk Media's vertical content.
- Focus on original IP across animation and microdramas.
- Collaboration aims to build enduring content IPs for youth.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) has strategically invested in Rusk Media, a digital entertainment company specializing in content for younger audiences via its Alright! TV platform. This investment marks YRF's entry into India's rapidly expanding vertical content economy.
The collaboration will concentrate on creating new intellectual property within animation and vertical microdramas. These creations will be distributed across Rusk Media's proprietary platform and its international digital channels.
This initiative signifies YRF's strategic expansion beyond its traditional theatrical film business. The studio is renowned for its YRF spy universe franchise, which includes popular films like "Pathaan" and the "Tiger" series. YRF Entertainment has also produced Netflix series such as "The Railway Men" and "Mandala Murders."
Rusk Media, founded by Mayank Yadav, focuses on original vertical storytelling. Yadav noted that while vertical entertainment has achieved broad reach, it often lacks the enduring IP that defines a content category, a gap this partnership intends to fill.
Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, stated that platforms are infrastructure, while content and IP represent culture. He emphasized Rusk Media's deep understanding of how younger generations engage with stories, aligning with YRF's vision to build worlds, not just content.
