YouTuber Prankstar Rahul is venturing into filmmaking with his directorial debut, 'Grandfather'. This film is centered on the unique bond between a grandfather and his grandson, a narrative choice Rahul felt was underrepresented in cinema. He aims to create a compelling story that incorporates fantasy and horror elements, steering away from conventional romantic or action plots often expected from a YouTuber's first film.

The cast includes veteran actor MS Bhaskar, who plays a pivotal role and has also performed action sequences for the first time in his career. Rahul shared that Bhaskar's encouragement was invaluable, alleviating his initial nervousness about starring as the lead. The film also features Smeha Manimegalai as the female lead, with Aruldoss and Sunil portraying the antagonists.
