In a major milestone for social media star Trisha Paytas, the YouTube sensation and podcast host has made her Broadway debut in the musical adaptation of Beetlejuice. Paytas is currently playing the role of 'Maxine Dean' in the show, which recently returned to the stage for the third time.
Paytas' three-week limited engagement in Beetlejuice: The Musical began on Nov. 4, 2025 and is scheduled to run through Nov. 23. The enthusiastic fans who have followed Paytas' journey showed up in full force, greeting her with a rousing 30-second standing ovation when she made her entrance on opening night. This outpouring of love continued after the show, with Paytas signing autographs and posing for photos with eager supporters at the stage door.
"To everyone who came out to see the show tonight, [it was the] most magical night of my life because of you," Paytas wrote on Instagram, expressing her gratitude to the audience. Paytas is taking over the role of 'Maxine' from Sharone Sayegh, who will continue to play "Juno" during Paytas' run. The Beetlejuice: The Musical cast has been nothing but supportive, according to Paytas, who says she's "lucky to get to be a fan backstage every night."
