An aspiring young artist from Liverpool has achieved national recognition, with her artwork now featured before cinematic screenings of the highly anticipated Wicked sequel. The 11-year-old, known as Maidah, emerged victorious from a competition that attracted over 700 entries organized by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).
Her captivating illustration, a vibrant sunset scene, portrays the iconic witches Elphaba and Glinda sharing a moment as they hold hands and look towards the Emerald City. This distinctive artwork is now being presented to audiences across cinemas throughout the country.
Maidah expressed her excitement and a touch of nervousness upon seeing her creation displayed so prominently. She shared that she entered the competition for enjoyment, not necessarily expecting to win, but was thrilled when her artwork was selected.
