The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) mandated modifications to dialogues and a drug-use sequence for the Hindi dubbed version. These changes were completed on August 25, the day before the film's theatrical debut.
The CBFC Examining Committee requested the replacement or muting of several abusive dialogues. Additionally, a drug-abuse sequence was shortened, and an obscene dialogue was ordered to be replaced. The statutory warning also needed translation from Tamil to Hindi. Following these adjustments, the Hindi version was granted an 'A' certificate.
The certified runtime for the Hindi version of 'Toxic' is 194.12 minutes, approximately 3 hours and 14 minutes. This lengthy runtime positions it as a substantial theatrical release. The Tamil version, certified on August 20, underwent a less extensive change, with only one dialogue replacement noted.
