Wychwood Festival: 20 Years of Music & Magic!

Wychwood Festival is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a milestone event at Cheltenham Racecourse from May 29-31. Organisers are billing this year's festival as the largest to date, promising an extended experience with a diverse range of entertainment beyond the main stage.

The lineup features prominent artists such as Craig David presenting TS5, Kaiser Chiefs, and the Levellers, with additional performances by Everything Everything and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Complementing the music, the Wychwood Comedy Club will offer six hours of daytime stand-up comedy on the Garden Stage.

Tickets for the festival remain available for purchase via the official website, offering options for weekend attendance with or without camping, as well as single-day passes. Notably, children under 10 can enter for free but require a ticket. Local residents are eligible for a 10% discount.

Organisers encourage attendees to consider environmentally friendly travel options, with coach services available from major cities to Royal Well Road Bus Station. Shuttle buses will run from local transport hubs directly to the racecourse, and secure bicycle parking is also provided. Advance booking is required for car parking.

Festival-goers can anticipate a variety of food vendors, including Slice One, Crumble Pots, and Melted Cheese Company. The event also includes Barbara's Story Box, a children's literature tent, alongside activities like circus skills workshops, samba drumming, laughter yoga, and a family punk rock rave.

The festival commences on Thursday, with the box office and campsite opening at 09:30 BST. The Festival Village opens at 16:00 BST on Thursday and 12:00 BST on Friday, with live music starting shortly after. Weekend stages will begin at 11:00 BST on Saturday and Sunday, featuring various workshops. The campsite will close on Monday at 12:00 BST. Pets are not permitted, except for registered guide dogs.
