The 2026 Ambies podcast awards ceremony is set to be hosted by Emmy-winning comedian Wyatt Cenac. The event will be presented on Monday, February 23, as part of On Air Fest at the Arlo Williamsburg hotel in Brooklyn. Cenac, known for his work on "The Daily Show," will be joined by DJ Donwill for the evening.
The Podcast Academy, an independent professional podcast organization, presents the Ambies. This year, the awards saw a record number of over 1,600 submissions since their debut in 2021. A total of 227 nominees across 33 categories will be recognized.
New categories for the 2026 Ambies include podcast advertiser innovator award, best ad read, best branded podcast, best emerging podcast, best use of video in a podcast, and Vanguard Podcaster of the Year. The inaugural Ambies Vanguard Jury, comprised of industry leaders, selected the Vanguard Podcaster of the Year.
