Director Gene Fallaize, who previously helmed the Kevin Spacey thriller "Control," is preparing his next cinematic venture. This new project will delve into the World War II era, specifically focusing on the German occupation of the British island of Guernsey.
Fallaize will be both writing and directing the film, with Emily Hasseldine and her team at Cupsogue Pictures attached to produce. The production is anticipated to begin shooting on location on Guernsey later this summer.
Expressing his connection to the island, Fallaize stated his gratitude for telling an original story set during the lesser-known occupation of the Channel Islands. He emphasized his desire to film on Guernsey itself, integrating the local community into the production.
Fallaize's previous directorial work includes the 2023 thriller "Nightmares." His most recent film, "Control," featured Kevin Spacey providing vocal acting for a revenge-driven character, with Spacey recording his part in London while awaiting trial.
