Set in 1937, "Triumph of the Will" follows a woman who departs Amsterdam for a new life in Berlin with her daughter. She becomes involved with a rabbi dedicated to helping Jews escape Nazi Germany.
The period drama, starring Shira Haas, explores the couple's perilous journey to flee Berlin. They face an impossible choice: abandon their four-year-old daughter, lacking proper papers, to save themselves or risk their lives together.
Producer David Kaplan described the film as a romantic drama and a morality tale. He highlighted the central conflict of choosing between personal safety and the potential sacrifice of their child.
Filmed entirely in New York, the production successfully recreated Amsterdam, Berlin, Lisbon, and Oklahoma. Kaplan emphasized the economic and community benefits of shooting locally in New York City.
Kaplan Morrison, Kaplan's production company, is also developing other projects, including the sequel to "It Follows."
