Six Flags Over Texas has completed a significant construction milestone for its new record-breaking coaster, Tormenta Rampaging Run. The Immelmann Inversion, a key element, has been installed, contributing to the ride's status as the world's tallest, fastest, longest, and first giga dive coaster.
This new attraction is poised to shatter multiple world records. It will stand 309 feet tall, feature the world's highest vertical drop of 285 feet beyond 95 degrees, and include a 179-foot-tall coaster loop, the tallest of its kind globally. The entire ride spans 4,199 feet, promising an extensive experience with airtime moments and sharp turns.
Themed around the Spanish tradition of running with the bulls, Tormenta Rampaging Run will debut alongside a new themed area, Rancho de la Tormenta, and a Spanish and Latin American restaurant, Cocina Abuela. The coaster's opening is slated for the park's 65th anniversary celebration, with the park reopening for the season on February 28.
