Military and Choir Unite for World Music Day Harmony

A joint musical choir performance was organized by HQ Paschim UP Sub Area on Sunday night to commemorate World Music Day. The event brought together the City Minstrels Choir and the RVC Centre & College Pipe Band, creating a spectacle of music, harmony, and community spirit. The performances included a diverse range of patriotic, inspirational, and contemporary compositions, enthusiastically received by attendees. The evening commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by spirited military melodies from the RVC Pipe Band. The choir, led by Sanjana John, Nise Meruno, and Neeraj Devraj, delivered captivating performances.

The collaborative effort between the choir and the RVC Centre & College Pipe Band highlighted synergy and mutual appreciation between civilians and the Armed Forces. The audience, spanning all generations, enjoyed the music, with children actively participating. Dignitaries present included the General Officer Commanding, HQ Paschim UP Sub Area, and other senior military officials, alongside serving personnel, veterans, and local community members. This occasion served to strengthen civil-military ties and promote cultural engagement.

The General Officer Commanding emphasized music's role as a universal language fostering unity and well-being, reflecting the Indian Army's dedication to community outreach. The event concluded with the National Anthem, performed by the RVC Centre & College Pipe Band, earning a standing ovation and embodying the message of peace and togetherness associated with World Music Day.
