Wizards Revival Shocks Fans with Unexpected Twist

The Wizards of Waverly Place revival on Disney+ has left fans in a frenzy after the season finale's shocking twist. In the episode, Alex Russo (Selena Gomez) sacrificed herself to save her daughter Billie, jumping through a portal and dragging the villain Lord Morsus along with her.

This unexpected turn of events has sparked a wave of speculation, with many fans assuming Alex has been killed off the show for good. However, series star David Henrie, who plays Alex's brother Justin, says the creators never intended to write the character out. "No one saw that reaction coming. Nobody," Henrie told Us Weekly. "We were never trying to kill Alex Russo, she just went through a portal off into another realm!"

Henrie, who also serves as an executive producer, promises that the show will address Alex's mysterious disappearance if it's renewed for a third season. "We will absolutely answer the question of what happened to her, because it's a valid question," he said. The revival will also explore Billie's father, Alex's past with her werewolf boyfriend Mason, and introduce a new villain, Damian, who is Billie's father.

Despite the unexpected fan response, Henrie remains optimistic about the show's future. "You know, she went through a massive portal. What the heck happened? We will dig into that," he said, hinting at more surprises to come for the Russo family and their magical world.
