The fourth annual Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival is set to transform Red Arrow Park and Beach into an artistic spectacle from July 18-19. Nine semi-professional sand sculptors will be crafting impressive multi-ton masterpieces throughout the weekend, allowing attendees to witness their creative process.
Alongside the professional competition, an amateur sand sculpting championship will also take place, with registration still open but limited plots available. Visitors can cast their vote for the People's Choice award, influencing the competition's outcome. The festival promises a full weekend of entertainment, including vendor booths, live music, food trucks, and a DJ.
This year's event marks the first major gathering at Red Arrow Park since its recent beach access and improvements project completion. New features include improved pathways, a new parking area, and a stone seating section offering panoramic views of the sculptures. Admission to the festival is free, though donations to the Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary are welcomed.
