Filipino Melodies Close Inaugural Concert Season

Windsor Multicultural Concerts is set to conclude its inaugural season this Sunday with a special performance dedicated to music from the Philippines, held at Mackenzie Hall. This concert series, established by Steven Hanoosh, was designed with the purpose of bringing together various global musical traditions to strengthen bonds within Windsor's diverse communities.

The first season of the concert series successfully presented five distinct performances. These included music from North America, the Middle East, Brazil, and China, culminating with the upcoming Filipino music showcase. Hanoosh, an Iraqi-born musician, expressed his deep appreciation for cultural music, viewing it as an expression of the soul.

The positive reception from the community has encouraged organizers to extend the initiative. Future plans include five additional multicultural concerts and five Windsor Chamber concerts, with performances scheduled every two months, commencing in September. Hanoosh hopes these events will continue to foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation, describing culture as 'love in motion.'
